Perhaps one of the questions I get asked most would be about how to style outdoor spaces. It's a great question... and one that may change depending on the time of year or which part of the country that you live in, but my ideal timeless spring porch starts with a recipe of 3 things:

Start with a Design Anchor
Anchor your space with a tactical, durable textile like our jute doormats or an outdoor rug. Your anchor design element will set the tone for the entire space. Adding a sustainable and highly durable natural fiber like jute, will keep the space looking warm and cozy for longer than rugs made with synthetic materials.

Less Decor, More Intention
The spring season favors edited entries. Instead of full seasonal overhauls like fall and Christmas, think: restrained and intentional.
My top spring front porch decorating ideas come from nature itself... beautiful terracotta pots supported by these springy Rabbit Pot Feet, filled with spring annuals, a beautiful spring wreath for the front door, or a row of hanging baskets filled with Boston ferns.
If you live in a colder climate where annuals are not ready to be outdoors yet, edit your porch with a clean sweep. Then add a fresh doormat and upgrade to your house numbers. We love these leaf flourish brass house numbers that can be drilled into your space, or you can try our hand-painted Portuguese House Numbers. View our installation guide here!

Tell a Story with Aged Finishes
Choose materials that soften with time. If you've ever been to Charleston, you can see the city's refined age throughout the streets... patinated brass gas lanterns line the homes, beautiful gardens protected by iron gates, and stone streets filled with charm.
Our wall-mount mailboxes are perfect for city homes, where the mail-person has the task of hand delivering the daily snail mail. They bring a sense of refined charm and heritage design to an entry. Their unlacquered brass top will patina over time, adding history to the piece.
If your home isn't quite seasonally ready for a foliage wreath, I'd recommend adding a brass door knocker to your front door. Our Leaf Door Knocker is a custom-designed knocker that pairs intricate, organic-feeling craftsmanship with long-enduring quality. If you gravitate to more traditional designs, I'd recommend our Vine Ring Door Knocker, featuring a sturdy loop and winding vine details, inspired by the strokes of our logo.
